Privacy policy
Last updated 3 September 2026
This policy covers Byron Bay Bathroom Renovations and this website. It explains what we collect when you contact us, what we do with it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
It is written to match what this site actually does. If we change what we collect, we change this page on the same day.
Who we are
Byron Bay Bathroom Renovations, a bathroom renovation service operating across Byron Bay and the Byron shire in NSW. Building work is carried out by Faulkner Building Group Pty Ltd, ABN 31 670 527 652.
You can reach us on (02) 9072 1997 or at contact@byronbaybathroomrenovations.com.au.
What we collect
Only what the enquiry form asks for, and only when you choose to send it:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- Your suburb, if you give it
- Whatever you write in the message field
What we do not collect
We do not ask for your date of birth, your address, or any payment or identity document through this website.
We do not collect sensitive information as the Privacy Act defines it, and you should not send any through the form.
Why we collect it
To call you back about the bathroom you have described, to quote the work, and to carry it out if you go ahead.
That is the only reason. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not send marketing to people who asked about a bathroom.
Who else sees it
The companies that host this website, securely store a backup of your enquiry, and deliver the email your enquiry arrives in. They process it only to store it safely and get it to us.
Where a job is delivered with our building partner, the details needed to run that job are shared with them.
We do not sell your information, and we do not give it to anyone for their own marketing.
Cookies and tracking
This website sets no advertising cookies and runs no cross site tracking scripts.
The hosting platform keeps standard server logs, which include the address your request came from, for security and to keep the site running.
If we later add analytics, this section will say so before it goes on.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not turn into work are kept while they are still useful to follow up, and are then deleted.
Records for jobs we have carried out are kept for as long as building and tax records need to be kept, which is a matter of years rather than months.
Keeping it safe
Enquiries are sent over an encrypted connection and are held in accounts that need a password to open.
No system is perfect. If something goes wrong in a way that could cause you harm, we will tell you and the regulator, as the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Phone or email, and we will do it.
We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
If you are not happy with how we have handled it, you can take it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
