About Byron Bay Bathroom Renovations
We are the bathroom renovation specialists for Byron Bay and the shire behind it. It is the room we know best, and every one we do is built to the same standard.

What we do
Why a bathroom needs a specialist
Most builders will do your bathroom. It sits between the jobs that pay better, and it gets whoever is free that week.
A bathroom is the trickiest room in a house to build. It is the one room where water is thrown at the walls and the floor every day on purpose. Get one thing wrong, like not carrying the waterproofing far enough up the wall, and it quietly wrecks the floor underneath. You will not see it for three years.
That is why we specialise in them. Strip it out, run the pipes, waterproof it, lay the floor, tile it, fit the taps, hand it back. The same order, done by the same people, every time.
Credentials
Who is actually doing the work
The work is carried out by a licensed builder, and these are that builder's credentials. Every one of them is checkable, which is the only kind of trust signal worth printing. Who holds them is named at the foot of every page.
NSW builder's licence 487626C
The licence this work is carried out under. It is a NSW number and you can look it up.
Master Builders member
A member of Master Builders, who set the code of practice the work is run to.

The registered entity behind the business, on every scope and every invoice.
Waterproofed to AS 3740
The Australian rule for bathrooms and laundries, followed exactly as it is written.
How we work
Four things we do the same way
- 01
The scope is written before anything starts
Line by line, with anything you still have to choose listed on its own, so nothing gets assumed for you. A bathroom decided while it is being built is the most expensive kind there is.
- 02
The parts you cannot see get photographed
The waterproofing, at every stage, before a tile goes near it. You keep the photos. If you sell in six years and a buyer asks what is under the floor, you have an answer.
- 03
Surprises get raised the day we find them
Rotten timber, or a leak that has been running for years, is normal in older houses here. You get a photo and a phone call before we do anything about it, not a surprise line on the bill.
- 04
The waiting days are named, not hidden
The waterproofing has to dry, and the mortar bed under it has to set. Those days are in the plan with everything else, because rushing either one is how a bathroom fails a few years later.

Local
Why the shire is its own kind of job
A lot of the houses here are older beach houses on timber floors, and timber floors move. Waterproofing done the way you would do it on a concrete slab cracks in the corners of a timber floor within a couple of years.
Closer to the water, salt gets into anything made of steel. Screws, brackets, the frame behind a shelf. Picking your hardware here is not about how it looks. It is about how long it lasts.
Inland, up behind Mullumbimby and Federal, it changes again. Tank water, septic systems and floor heights all get sorted before anyone opens a tile catalogue.
We work across Suffolk Park, Bangalow, Mullumbimby, Brunswick Heads and the rest of the shire.
Tell us about your bathroom
Ten minutes on the phone sorts most of it out. Then we come and look at the floor. That is when we can tell you what the job really costs.
